   Watlington YFC is a friendly and thriving Youth Football Club that is run by adult volunteers with a love of the ‘beautiful game’. 

   For the 2008/09 season we will be running teams in the Under-8, 9, 11, 12, 14 and 15 age groups of the Mid-Norfolk Youth League.

   Watlington YFC is registered with the Norfolk FA (Affiliation No: 145), plays in the Mid-Norfolk Youth League between Sep & Apr and enters a number of local football tournaments during the summer break.

   At all times, we encourage our youths to train and play for fun.

Training

   The teams all train at different times and the weekend sessions are dependent upon coach availability and league matches.  Please contact the managers individually should you wish your son or daughter to participate.

Would you like to join Watlington YFC? 

The Under-14 team is looking for new players in order to bolster squad numbers for the coming 2008/09 season.  Please contact David Curl.

 The Under-11 team will be looking to expand its squad for the 2009/10 season as they move from 9 to 11-a-side into the Under-12 age group in summer 09.  Please contact Nick Hay if interested.

Also, if we could find adult volunteers to manage the lower age groups (U7 (Year 2) and U8 (Year 3)) for the 2009/10 season, we would hope to enter these teams in the Mid Norfolk Youth League for the season commencing Sep 09. Please contact our secretary, Tracey Winterbone or our chairman, David Curl if interested in playing or coaching.

Unfortunately, girls are unable to play in mixed teams at U12 age groups and above but girls are very welcome to participate in the lower age groups.  In fact, one of our previous players is now a member of Kings Lynn girls.

Are you interested in helping to run a youth football team at Under-7 or Under-8 level for the 2009/10 season?

In order to keep the club functioning at the lower age groups, thereby ensuring the future of WYFC for years to come, we are looking for volunteers to run teams at the U7 and U8 age groups for the 2009/10 season.  All kit and equipment will be provided for the players and all you would need to possess is a little football knowledge, enthusiasm and a tad of patience.  The current managers would also assist you during the early part of your tenure.  Should you volunteer, we would look to enter your team into a number of the summer tournaments prior to the start of the Mid Norfolk League for the 2009/10 season.  Although this will take up an element of your spare time, the enjoyment the kids get from participating in active team sports is extremely rewarding from a personal perspective.  Please contact our secretary, Tracey Winterbone or our chairman, David Curl if interested.
